WHAT IS PROCESSOR

WHAT IS PROCESSOR

Processor is the heart of a computer. The Processor does all work and computation like adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. In computer most popular microprocessor is used Intel Pentium chip.
The speed of a computer processor measured in megahertz,or cycle per second. But higher megahertz does"not always means better performance. The four primary functions of a processor are fetch, decode, execute and write back.
 THE BASIC ELEMENTS OF PROCESSOR:
The arithmetic logic unit (ALU) witch carries out arithmetic and logic functions.
The floating point unit (FPU) also known as math co processor or numeric co processor.
Registers witch hold instructions and other data.Registers supply to operands to the ALU and store the result of instruction.
Line1 and Line2 Cache Memory; They get data from random access  memory.(RAM) and saves in CPU.

Most processor today are multi core witch means the IC contains two or more processor for enhanced performance reduce power consumption more efficient processing of multiple task.

Types Of  Processor:

A few years ago choosing a processor was pretty straightforward.ADM and Intel each produce two types of processor.
Each company used only one processor socket and there was a limited range of processor speed available. If you wanted Intel processor you might have a dozen main stream models and a half dozen budget models to chose among the same was true AMD.

BUDGET PROCESSOR:
Budget processors give up a bit of performance in exchange for a lower price. At any given AMD or Intel fastest processor available likely to have about 85% of the performance of there slowest main stream model. Budget processor is more then sufficient for routine computing task.

INTEL PENTIUM DUAL CORE PROCESSORS:
The Intel Pentium processors with Intel dual core technology deliver great performance low power enhancement and multitasking for everyday computing.

INTEL i3 PROCESSORS;
Intel Core i3 processors dual core processor provided 4 way multitasking capability runs at fixed speed ideal for typical task and media playback but not games.

INTEL i5 PROCESSORS:
Intel i5 processor quad core processors but some dual processor deliver the next level of productivity.Mostly the same as i3 but used with Turbo Intel Boost Technology. deliver extra speed when you need it like i3 the integrated graphics is included but is only ideal for normal use of gaming.

INTEL i7 PROCESSORS:
Intel i7 processors dual core or quad core for the most demanding applications with cache and clock speed.Quad core processors feature  8 way threading four core will run faster and more L3 cache but will consume most power High end use for video and gaming with dedicated video card.

AMD A4:
These A4 processor have  processors cores and include a radeon graphic chip.Aimed for use lower end system.

AMD A6:
A6 processor is dual core include turbo function similar to Intel processor to adapt to the task needed.Integrated graphic on par with i3 range.

AMD A8:
4 processor core is comparable to the i3 and low i5 its graphic part faster then Intel version can handle with light gaming ease.
